The waves are launched on shallow-water in a circular tank having 180 cmdiameter. The still-water level h. is 1.5 to 2.1 cm. When the ccircular solitary wavefocuses, its wave velocity is almost constant in a region of large radius (r>10/z.).In the neighborhood of ION. radius, it increases apparently. This experimentalresult, agrees with the numerical analysis using a IBoussinesq type equation. At theposition of the 5/zg radius, however, the wave velocity becotnes smaller than thatin the vicinity of 10/z. radius.
