The experimental ratio A(co') of critical sound dispersion to attenuation hascompared with the mode cottpling theory using available data on four differentcritical fluid systems ; n-heptane-nitrobenzene, triethylamine-water, Xenon andHelium three. It was demonstrated that the uni'versal plot for the experimentalJio') could fairly be described by the mode coupling theory assuming the empiri-cat form for correlation function obtained by Tartaglia and Thoen on the basis ofFisher-Langer theory.
