Mode coupling effects in dynamical region (the wave number k: 10' cm 'and the time 7:10 " -10 "s) of simple liquids have been studied theoreticallyon the basis of the generalized Langevin equation to consider the long tail ofthe normalized memory function n(k, t) of transverse-current correlation function. From the truncation approximation of the continued-fraction expansion we obtainn(k, t):2(k)ng(k, t), where 2 and ng are both dimensionless, and called enhance-ment factor and kinetic normalized memory function, respectively. The kineticnormalized memory function n.(k,t) shows the long tail t "' due to the mode-coupling effects in dynamical region. Numerical calculations give the intensityng(k, t : 10 " s) of the order IQ ' and 2 of the order l0". These results agreewith computer experiments.
