• The random phase model by Mott, Hindley and Friedman is applied to thecalculation of the electrical conductivity of highly resistive metals. Their tempera-ture dependence of the conductivity is discussed, and two new mechanisms arepresented for the negative temperature coefficients of the resistivity.
