The electrical resistivity and the magnetization were measured from 4.2 K to room temperattire in the CsCl-type compounds, Ni..,Al.=, (Niz=,Co,)z..)3Alg.g5, and (Ni..-.Fe,)z.g(Al(,.g5. The electrical and magnetic anomalies in the pseudo-binary compounds seem to be the Kondo effect due. to the substitutional cobalt and iron atonls in the Pauli-paramagnetic NiA1 ma- trix. Frorn this point of view, the Kondo temperatures estimated from the tem- perature dependence of the excess resistivity and susceptibility are -100 K for the former atoms and '-1 K for the latter olaes; ?especti.vely. These values are nearly equal to those in the dilute magnetic alloys-of copper .tnd gold hosts.
