We investigated the internal dynamics of a bulky shuttle memory system, consisting of a C^+_<36> or C^+_<60> encapsulated in a C_<640> nanocapsule. Energetics and operating response of a C^+_<36>@C_<640> and a C^+_<60>@C_<640> bucky shuttle memory device, such as transitions between the two states of the C_<640> end caps, were examined by using classical molecular dynamics simulations of the C^+_<36> or C^+_<60> shuttle in the C_<640> nanocapsule under the external force fields. For the stable operations of the shuttle memory device, the periods and the magnitudes of the operating force fields were investigated.
