Formulas for the scattered microwaves are derived in the presence of a steady magnetic field oblique to the axis of a cylindrical plasma. The source of the incident wave may be a magnetic dipole as well as an electric dipole. A lemma is quoted and used to reduce the case of a magnetic dipole source to that of electric dipole sources. Finally some simple relations among the scattered fields produced by various types of sources are presented with their possible applications.
