The unetal-instmlator (Nl-I) tr'ansition ira Al -Pd-He qtrasicryst?tls (QCs) was sttrdied by annealing tnethod. We fottnd th;tt increasing the resistivity ratio r=p(4.2K)/7v(3OOK) of AT-Pd -ReQCs can greatly redtuce the x'altne of the electron correlation gap Is and tlaeref'ore drives thesystern towards and throtugh the IIVI-I transition. In the insulating st?tte, the conductivity o(T)between 0.5 'V 7K can be analyzed xvith o(T) :: agexp[ -(7'g/T)]"" ;tnd the negative ttnagneto-conductance observed at low tertaper?tture is utattinly ;tttrilottted to the decrease of' the locarlizationlength 4 with increasing field.
