Electromagnetic Waves in a Chiral Plasma Media

Electronaagnetic waves in a magnetized chiral-plasma rnediutn are sttrdied. Using the ]VIaxweIl'sequations and the proposed constittrtive relations f'or a chiral-plastna uaaediuna, we derive the vectors E and H eqtrations and frorn these equations, dispersion relations and ff-field polarizationsare founded. At high frequency, the obtained results for waves propagating parallely to theexternal magnetic field in a cold unagnetized chiro-plasma are cotaapared with typical restnlts ob-tained for a cold plasrtaa. For circtrlarly polarized waves, a new unode conversion is fotnnded dueto the chiral effect. The chiral rotation is obtained and cotnpared with the Faraday rotation.For waves propagating across the rnagnetic field, we found a shift of the cut-offs of ordinaryand extraordinary waves, on the lower branch of the extraordinary wave rnode there is no morebands of forbidden freqtrencies and the reflection point vanishes. At low frequency the effect ofthe chiral parameter on the fast and slow wave dispersion relations is moderate.
