IN/I6ssbauer effect is measured for the high-To strr>ercondtrctors (Lau .SI.T)2CUO.99F6O.01O4 (rO -0.17) at rootn ternperatttre. Botlt the values of qtradrupole splitting (A.) and isonaer shift (L.S.)decrease with increasing x. In order to interpret the large E. valtre in the sanaple of x = 0, thepresence of Fe-4p electrons must be taken into accotrnt and the analysis of' E. decrease for .r : Oto 0.17 gives the increase of Fe-3d holes, An3,3 : 0.09. The decrease of' I.S. can be analyzedby shield efl'ect dtre to the increase of Fe-3d holes, which gives the same An3.g valtre. Theagreetment of both the values indicates that hole increase in Fe-3d orbital is responsible f'or thedecrease of both E. and L.S., and Fe-4p and 4s electrons, even if exist, l'n?rrdly change with Srconcentration. Furthertmore, the valence state of Fe ions in the undoped sarauple of x = O isestimated; Fe3d"'4p"". This is compared with the reported Ctr valence state obtained frotnNQR and their difference is discttssed on the basis of energy' level difference of 3d orbital in Feand Cu ions in CuOz plane.
