Quantum Monte Carlo Study of Phase Diagram and Critical Phenomena of the Quantum Heisenberg Mattis Model in Two Dimenshons

Ground-state properties of the two-diraaensional S : 172 Heisenberg lVIattis model is investi-gated using the world-line quanttrrm IVIonte Carlo uaaethod. Calctrlations of the spin glass orderparameter slaow that the terna proportional to L ' is dorninant in the scaling of this order parataaeter, and that this order paranaeter increases taaonotonously as the concentration of ferronaagneticbonds, p, is enhanced. Sinatrlations of the Neel order parataaeter and the staggered susceptibilityshow that the N!el-Mattis spin glass ph;tse boundary of the present model is consistent withthe critical concentration of the two-dinaensional Ising IVIattis ?taode1, p. '? 0.147, and that thecritical exponents of these quantities are f3 /v : 0.32 :l: 0.05 and 7/v : 1.86 i 0.15, respectively.These estinaates result in a nontrivial dynatuuical critical exponent, z : 0.50 i 0.25.
