Specific Fission J-Window and Angular Momentum Dependence of the Fission Barrier

A method to detertaaine a uniqtre ,7-window in the fission process was devised and the fissioningnuclide associated with thtrs extracted ,7-window was identified for each of the heavy-ion reactionsystems. Obtained fission barriers ;tt tlue restrlting .7-window xvere compared with the calculatedvalues by the rotating finite range model (RFRM). The deduced barriers for individual nuclideswere coznpared with the RFRNI barriers to reproduce rnore or less the angular mornentunu depen-dence the RFRM prediction. The dedtrced systernatic behavior of the fission barrier indicates noeven-odd and shell corrections are necessary. The nuclear dissipation efl'ect based on Kramer'smodel revealed substantial reduction of the statistically dedtrced barrier heights and brought afairly large scattering from the RFRIVI ,7-dependence. However, introduction of the ternperattrre-dependent friction coefficient ('y = 2 for T >1.0 NIeV and 0.5 for T< 1.0 lVIeV) xvas found tobring about satisfactory agreement xvith both RFRM fission barriers and the pre-fission neutronmultiplicity systematics.
