On Similarity Solutions for Three Dimensional Flow of Second Order Fluids

The existence of similarity soltrtions for the steady three-dinuensional boundary layer floxv of aviscoelastic [ltrid has been investigated. It has been shoxvn that similarity solutions exist for twouauainstrearn flow patterns which correspond to the flow near a stagnation point. The non-linearboundary value problern governing one of these stagnation point flows has been solved turnerically conabined with a perttrrbation apjoroach. It is fottnd that tlae effects of non-Newtonianpararaaeters are to increase the velocity in tlue botrndary layer. Some relevant particular caseshave also been disctrssed.
