Possible Spin-Fluctuation Mediated Superconductivity in UPd_2Al_3

• UPdzAl3 is an itinerant antiferrom;tgnet ('V'N : 14.3 K) coexisting with the strperconductingstate (T. x 2 K). We have performed netrtron inelastic scattering experiments at T = 10 and20 K. The spectra have beena f'ound to be described in euaergy by a single Lorentzuan functionand analyzed on the basis of the so called self-consistent renorunalization (SCR) tlaeory. Wedeternained the characteristic energy scale, Tg x 27 K, which represents the energy spread ofthe spin fluctuations. XVe have obtained the direct experinaental evidence that tlae same propor-tionality relation between Tg and T. holds in UPdzAl3 as observed in high-']. cttprates, stronglysttggesting tlaat the supercondtrctivity in UPdzAl3 is mediated Icy the spin fltrctuations,
