The vorticity evolution induced by a source doublet that turns out in a two-dimensional shearflow is investigated analytically for an incompressible inviscid fluid. The velocity field is obtainedby use of the linearized Euler equation and the equation of continuity. The process of the closedvortex formation around the doublet and the interaction of these closed vortex are shown byinvestigating the time development of the disturbance vorticity.
