Ionization Cross Section of Dy and Yb by 0.1-2 MeV Proton and Deuteron Impact

A-shell / subshell ionization cross sections and their ratios for Dysprosium (Dy) andYtterbium (Yb) atoms due to 0.1-2MeV proton and cleuteron impact have beencalculated using the PWBA theory with the exact limits of integratiott for energy andmomentum transfers. Cross section ratios curves regarding the L. ;+nc1 L, subshellsviz; (<m,-, / o..) are found to show oscillations in the low energy regiccn (< 1.0 MeV).
