Effect of the Antiferromagnetic Fluctuation on a One-Dimensional Electron System

The role of the fluctuation around the mean field of the antiferromagnetic state hasbeen examined by applying the path integral method to the calculation of the groundstate energy of the one-dimensional half-filled Hubbard model with the repulsion, U.In the case of the weak interaction, our result is compared with that of the exactlysolvable one the dominant part of which consists of the power series of U. It is foundthat the present method with the lowest order contribution due to the fluctuationgives the sufficient energy for small U while the higher order of the fluctuation isneeded for large U.
