Proton NMR Study of the Spin Structure of Mixed Antiferromagnets Co_<1-x>Ni_xCl_2・6H_2O

In order to clarify the spin structure c>f mixed antiferrornagnets Co. .Ni...C1.6H.O, proton NMR spectra are observed in an applied magnetic field along the baxis perpendicular to each easy axis. The resonance fields shift gradually from tlteirpositions in CoC1,? 6H.O to those in NiCl.= 6H.0 upon increasing Ni concentration,.v. From analyzing t1?e Ni concentration dependence of these resonance fields, it isshown that the spin directions of tlaese m'txtures vary smoothly from tl?e c axis (tlteeasy axis or C0Cl.'6H.O) to the a" axis (ttte easy axis or NiCl.?6H.0) tcaat is in agood agreement with the model proposed by Matsubara et al.
