By making use of revised values of the force constants consistently with the EXAFSstudies, the optical measurements and the inelastic neutron scattering spectra, werecalculate the phonon dispersion curves and the density of states curve D(E) for theoxide-superconductor YBa.Cu,0. .. Main results are summarized as follows: (i) Thecalculated results well explain Raman and infrared data including the effect of oxygendeficiency on the phonon spectra; (ii) The D(E) curve is in 2111 agreement with the in-elastic neutron diffraction data by Renker et al. The high energy part of the D(E)curve is contributed from the oxygen vibrations, while the low energy part is due tothe acoustic branch and vibrations of heavy metallic ions. Fiutally, a brief comment ismade about previous interpretations of ultrasonic data and of the origin of the highT. superconductivity.[high-I. superconductor, Y-Ba-Cu-0 system, force constant model, phonon ll dispersion curve, phonon density of states cur'vel
