Critical Study of the Anderson Impurity and the Anderson Lattice

We study critically the properties of the infinite-& degenerate impurity Andersonmodel and lattice Anderson model using the bosonic technique with the help of theFeynman diagrammatic expansion developed earlier by P. Coleman. We investigatetheir thermal and / or dynamical properties over the whole temperature range employ-ing the expansion in power of the inverse of the spin-orbit degeneracy. In the impu-rity model, the most and the next dominant terms in the expansion turn out todescribe the low and the high temperature behaviors correctly. As regards the latticemodel we calculate the life time of the conduction electrons and find that all the termsto the third dominant order must be taken into account to describe both of the Fermi-liquid behavior at low temperature and the Kondo-impurity-type behavior at hightemperature correctly.
