The effect of pressure on the magnetic phase transition temperature of Hf) .Ta.Fe.with x=O and ,X'=0.1 has been studied. The Curie temperature for x=O decreaseswith increasing pressure at a rate of -(1.2:1.0) K/kbar, and for ,X'=0.l itdecreaseswith a pressure coefficient of - 7.5 K/ kbar up to about 8 kbar and above 8 kbar twomagnetic phase transitions, one being of the first order and the other of the secondorder, are induced by applying pressure. The former is a phase transition from a fer-romagnetic to an antiferromagnetic phase. The transition temperature decreases at arate of - 10.0 K/kbar. The latter is a phase transition from an antiferromagnetic to aparamagnetic phase. The transition temperature decreases at a rate of - 5.1 K /kbar.These results under pressure are compared with the results obtained by partialsubstitution of Ta for Hf in HfFe..
