We investigate the distortion effects of the deuteron during the "Si(d, d)"Si scattering and "Si(d, p)"Si reaction. The calculated results show that the deuteron shrinksas often pointed out and the binding energy decrease rapidly in the inner part of thetarget nucleus. The distortion effects of the incident deuteron appear clearly in theelastic scattering and reaction.
