Magnetic properties of an orthorhombic interntetallic compound Mn..Ge., whichwas formerly referred to as Mn,Ge., has been investigated on a single crystalspecimen at temperatures between 80 K and 800 K. The compound has features of anon-collinear antiferromagnet below T.= 150 K, artd makes a spin-flopping transitionwhen magnetized along the c axis. It becomes ferromagnetic with a first order transi-Lion at T. with the direction of easy magnetization lying along b axis up to its Curietemperature 274 K. The susceptibility follows the Curie-Weiss law above 550 K, withasymptotic Curie temperature 329 K and effective Bohr magneton number per MnP err " 3 . 26 .
