The response of the charge-density wave (CDW) in K..,.Mo0, to pulsedelectric fields is investigated in two types of samples, namely, the switching andthe non-switching ones. The response in the switching sample is different fromthat in the non-switching sample and is quite complicated. Its origin is discussedin relation to the deformation of the CDW. In addition, the temperature de-pendence of the threshold field Ej is measured by the pulse method. Both typesof samples show no maximum of E. around 100 K reported by Dumas et at.
