Statistical properties of a 3-wave system are investigated numerically and acomparison is made with the results calculated by approximations in turbulencetheory. It is found that evolution of energy and distribution of amplitude areaffected by higher order moments of initial distribution except chaotic cases. Insome cases, the approximations are found to be qualitatively poor.
