"Mn NMR measurements have been done in magnetically ordered state ofthe Laves phase compounds RMn. and R.-.R;Mn. (R=rare earth; R'=rareearth or yttrium). The abrupt change in the Mn hyperfine field as a function of thecubic lattice constant occurs at around 7.62 A. For example, the Mu hyperfinefield changes from 30.5 k0e in Er..,Gd...Mnp with the lattice constant of 7.62 Ato 100 k0e in Er..3Gdg.,Mnz with 7.63 A. In addition, the NMR spectrum inthe compound which has a cubic lattice constant in the critical region from 7.58 Ato 7.63 A has a satellite line in the frequency range from 50 MHz to 80 MHz.The dependence of the hyperfine field on the lattice constant suggests that thelattice expansion plays an important role in the magnetic ordering of Mn. TheNMR of "'Tb in Tb ..75 Lu...,Mn. was also investigated under zero and 18 k0eexternal fields.
