Variation of the first magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant with hydrostaticPTCSSDTC, dKn/dP, wQS determined on 32.8%Ni-Fe to 59.1 %Ni-Fe and Nifrom an automatic torque measurement unaer pressures up to at>out + kbar at291 K. The pressure coefficient, (1/A.)(dA./dP) was estimated as -8.4x 10='bar=' for 34.8%Ni-Fe alloy. The concentration variation of ax.7ar has asharp peak near 34.8 3Ni-Fe, and is very similar to that of the saturation mag-netization change with hydrostatic pressure. The relation between magneticanisotropy and volume compresibility is calculated for fcc Fe-Xi alloys basedon the two-levels iron model. The difference of the atomic volume and the sponta-neous magnetization are taken into account.
