The N7 first-negative-band exnission (B'l: -+ X"l: ; Jr=0) has been observedin collisions of Ar", Kr" and Xe" (q=1 and 2) with N. molecules at thecollision energies of 2-8 keV. The relative emission cross-sections for the projec-tile ions are discussed in connection with the exothermicity of the one-electroncapture process, A" -1-N.-+A" "" %N7(B'l:).
