Temperature dependence of the anharmonic Debye-Waiter factor for some cubicmetals are calculated by employing our recent dynamical model. Willis anharmonicapproach has been followed to estimate the effect of anh?trmonic terms in thecrystal potential. A comparative study of the computed values and the expert-mental data in terms of the Debye-Waiter tempera.ture parameter Y and the X-rayDebye temperature 0., reveal the fact that the anharmonic consideration inthe crystal potential has greatly improved the results compared with those due tothe harmonic and quasi-harmonic approximations.
