Optical Properties of the I^<deep>_1 Bound Excition in ZnSe

Absorption and emission experiments have been performed on the I'j"" boundexciton of the ZnSe crystal with and without magnetic field at temperatures lowerthan 4.2 K. The mean interacting LO-phonon number and the coupling constantratio of the deformation type to the electro-static interactions are estimated tobe 0.45 and 0.1, respectively. From the spin-flip Raman scattering, the y-factoris obtained as 2.0 which is close to that of the hole bound to the zinc vacancy.Some evidence is presented which suggests strong localization of the I'j"" boundexcitons.
