The acoustic attenuation and velocity of Ag3SI single crystal were measuredbetween 140 K and 300 K with 10 MHz longitudinal wave propagating alongthe (100) axis. It was found that there are two transition points on cooling. Thetransition temperatures at 161 K and 157 K correspond to the order-disordertransition and the p-7 structural phase transition, respectively. Hysterisis phe-nomenon was observed at the structural phase transition and the two transitionpoints overlapped on heating from the 7-phase.
