NMR of "F with no magnetic near neighbors (F.) in the diluted antiferromagnetMn....Zn.... F. was used to study "random-field" effects on the critical behavior. From the temperature dependence of (1/7'.), for fields applied parallel and per-pendicular to the easy (c) axis, it was found that the transition temperature T.depressed substantially with field only for H. II c. The fic+ld dependence of AT. = T: - 7'.is in general accord with the theory for random-field effects in disordered, anisotropicantiferromagnets, AT.och"', where h=jtH./kT.. Th<: value determined for the shiftexponent :=1.38 -F- 0.2 is in reasonable agreement with the prediction cat Th 1.25.
