On the Paramagnetic Susceptibility of Fe (HCOO)_2・2H_2O

The powder paramagnetic susceptibility of Fe(I-ICOO).-2H.0 is analyzed onthe basis of a two-kind-spin model, i.e. the Ising spin of one-half and the Heisen-berg spin of two with the use of the values of parameters, such as the exchangeconstants and the anisotropy constants, obtained previously. The susceptibilitydue to the Ising spin is taken into consideration using the high-temperatureseries expansion result. On the other hand, the susceptibility due to the Heisen-berg spin is calculated exactly. The interaction between two kinds of spins istaken into account by using the molecular field approximation. It is shown thatthe calculated result agrees well with the experimental data and the estimatedexchange constants are found to be reasonable compared with those in otherformates.
