Magnetization measurements on Fe...,.Se (3c type) single crystals have beencarried out around the temperature of spin axis transition (7',=150 K). AboveT., the material behaves as a usual ferrimagnet having the easy plane (c plane).Below T. where the c axis is the easy direction, the observed magnetization curveshave some resemblance to those of metamagnets : A sudden increase of magneti-zation occurs at a certain value of the applied field (10'N10' Oe) dependingupon the field direction and the temperature. The hysteresis loop takes a con-stricted form with very small remanence (<5'l3 of the saturation value). Thecomposition range where these anomalies are observed is extremely narrow. The process of magnetization below T. is described as a field-induced first-ordermagnetic transition of the system of antiferromagneticalJy coupled regions. The origin of such regions is also discussed.
