Saturation magnetization of thin Invar alloy films was measured as a functionof film thickness, in a temperature range of 77 K to 570 K. The results show that, when the film thickness decreases from about 750 A to 350 A, the saturation mag-netization tend to increase gradually for specimen of 21 wt 3Ni-Fe for whichsaturation magnetization decreases linearly with increasing temperature. Theseresults are discussed in terms of surface effect arising from interface between thesubstrate and the thin film.
