This paper concerns the flow of collisionless gas through a circular tube froma reservoir to a vacuum. The case of a very long tube is stxadied by developi?ag anasymptotic theory. A formula is given for the flux of molecules through the tube,which is valid up to 0(A -'), where A is the ratio of the t ube length to its diameter.The distribution of the impact density along the tube wall is also calculated.
