As a two-dimensional model of 1>lood flow in an artery with a branch, pulsa-tile flows of a viscous fluid in a clrannel with a branch are studied flor variousparameters (Reynolds number, ratio of flow rates downstream of 1>ifurcatioua,and period of oscillation). The angle of bifurcation azcd the amplitudc: of oscilla-tion are fixed. It is. shown that for the case similar to blood flow in artery theamplitude of sheariung stress variation is higher in the neighbourhoo<J of down-stream corzaer and downstream of ttpstream corzaer in side channel.
