A simple way of getting two mass ratios K and L of the ( 1 10) ellipsoid in cubiccrystals from galvanomagnetic coefficients is proposed. Two kinds c>f solutions,(K,L) and (1/K, 1/L), are obtained from two relations among the nxagnetocon-ductivit>r constants 13, 7 and<5; #-l->'-I-J(l -,v)/(l -3x)=0 and /7-l-2i-F-2r(1-T-,v)/(41,P)=0, when two conditions x>2 and 2TV'}12>4,V>0 are satisfied, wherex=CK/L)-FCL/K ) and 2x=Cx -2)/{ALL-1-(1/A)-I-(1/1) -4}. These tvro solutionsgive different behaviors of magnetoresistance in high magnetic fie1?Js. The topof the valence band of SnTe is discussed with this model,
