Deviations from the Matthiessen's rule (DMR) have been extracted fromexperimental data of the electrical resistivity of dilute AuCr alloys (2-v3i20 at.ppm)measured in a temperature range between 0.5 K and 300 K.Magnetic scattering by Cr impurities has shown no special effect on the DMRcompared to nonmagnetic impurity scattering.The initial rise of the DMR in the alloys has a temperature depencJence withan exponent of about 4, while that of Cu-based alloys in the same con.centrationrange is about 3. This fact is attributed to the low Debye temperature of ,Au matrix.
