• E.-transition probabilities between 4:+2:, 2:-+O: and 2;+0: in even-evendeformed nuclei of rare earth and actinide regions have been estimated using theasymmetric rotor model of Davydov and Rostovsky. The predictions of thismodel have been compared with the experimental values. From this comparisonit has been found that the DR estimates are quite close to the experimental rates.The variations of the ratios B(Ex, 4: +2: )e.,/B(Ex, 4; +2: )oz<>BCEz, 2."=O,l" )ex./B(E.,2:+0;).., B(E.,2:,'-+0:)..,/B(E.,2;-+0:).,z and B(Ez,2:-+O:)..,7BEE., 2:+0:)5. with non-a.xiality parameter G,.9 have been studied.
