Energy spectra of alpha particles from the 'Li(d, a)'He' reaction at 13.6 MeVwere observed at extremely forward angles. Angular correlations between alphaparticles and deuterons were obtained for the 'Li(d, ad)D reaction when thealpha particles were detected at 20' using coincidence metltod. Energy spectrumof alpha particles shows a broad peak corresponding to the excited state of 25.52MeV in 'He with the width of 2.26 MeV. The spin-parity of this state is assignedto be 0" from the facts that the angular distributions of the emitted alpha particlesare reproduced with DWBA theory assuming the angular ntomentum transfer of2 and that the angular correlation function shows an isotropic distribution. In the coincidence energy spectrum of alpha particles a peak corresponding tothe excited state of 27.5 MeV in 'He was observed. The angular correlation forthe excited state of 27.5 MeV is consistent with the assignment of odd parity.
