The angular distribution of light or X-ray scattering of a stiff chain polymer which is expanded by the intramolecular interaction is calculated, by making use of the excluded volume theory of random coil chains. The calculation takes account the non uniformity of chain expansion. Because of this the the scattering curves show lower molecular expansion dependences than the previous uniform expansion theory, and have no plateau like parts appeared by that theory. This result shows a good coincidence with recent experimental curves of X-ray small angle scattering.
