The result of a rotating-specimen measurement of the angular correlation of annihilation radiation in Cu in the collinear geometry has been compared with the topology of the Fermi surface with evaluating the umklapp effect on the electron wave function in pseudo-plane-wave scheme. The sgreement is fairly good within a few per cent of the mean counting rate. A significant increase in the height of the <111>-peak is, however, observed in the experimental curve, which suggests a higher mean annihilation rate of the neck electrons than that of the other ones.
