Non-linear density waves in a rotating stellar system are investigated within the framework of the gasdynamic approximation endowing the system with an isotropic pressure. The waves are assumed to be one-dimensional and steady in a uniformly rotating local coordinate system and to propagate at a constant velocity perpendicular to the axis of rotation. The results show that the waves are wave trains for the cases of supersonic flows, and that the waves are wave trains, or solitary waves for the cases of subsonic flows.
