Ground State Analysis of the Lattice Gas Model with Two Kinds of Particles on the Triangular Lattice

The ground state of the lattice gas model on the triangular lattice in which twokinds of particles, A and B, interact by pairwise interactions extending to the secondneighbors is analyzed by using the method of geometrical inequalities. The relationV" = V"= 2 V" is assumed for the Ash (k = l, 2) neighbor interaction constants bekkktween the A and A (V:'), B and B (V':'), and A and B (V:') particles. The groundstate is determined rigorously except for certain regions of the interaction constantsand the particle densities. In these regions, on the other hand, the ground state is determined by the energy comparison.
