The snecific heat of the neriodic Anderson model is investizatea basea on ar>reviouslv develor>ed theorv which takes full account of the effect of strong car-relation. The srecific heat shows a Schottk>r t>'r>e behavior which is due to thear>rearance of the "local" moments. The static densit>r-densit>' resr>onse which is ameasure of the charse fluctuations is also investisated. It is shown that the density-density' resronse at hish temreratures obevs Curie law whose Curie constant issmaller than that of the srin suscertibilit>' der>endin: on the occupancy of the jstates. The temperature dependence of these physical quantities is satisfactoryin view of the mixed valence phenomena.
