Preliminary experiments with Asperator-K which has a three dimensional magnetic axis are reported. The plasma columu was confined in a magnetic field of 90°-toroidal sector with a helical axis which had nε≅0.8 where n is the number of periods around the torus and ε is the ratio of the amplitude of the helix of the magnetic axis to the major radius of the torus R. The measured rotational transform angle was (0.8^+_-0.2)π per period The stabillization effect by the end plates was not observed. The displacement of plasma column was -0.5 cm with respct to the direction of the principal normal of the magnetic axis. This vaue is not far from the theoretical prediction.
