Levels of ^<117>In from the ^<116>Cd(^3He,d)^<117>In Reaction

The ^<116>Cd(^3He,d)^<117> In reaction has been studied with a 25.07 MeV ^3He beam. The l values and spectroscopic strengths were determined for ten levels up to 2.0 MeV excitation. Strong l=0 and 2 transitions were observed against the simple shell-model expectation. These transitions are compared with predictions of the rotational model proposed by several authors, and significant disagreements are found.
