The composition of secondary particles produced in the backward cone of nuclear interactions of 10^<13> ev was investigated by means of a large emulsion stack. The angular distributions in the center of mass system of protons, K^± mesons and π^± mesons were observed to have their respective peaks in the narrow, <__∼0.2 radian, angular region around the backward direction. The K^±/π^± ration in the peak was found to be 0.71±0.20. The K^± mesons in the peak are likely to be the decay products of φ mesons produced with small emission angles. Finally we examine with additional experimental data the "Aleph" isobar proposed previously.
