Electron motion in an obliqtre zaaagnetosonic wave is sttrdied by meatns of' a one-diumensional,relativistic, electromagraetic particle code with full ton and electron dynamics. It is found thathigh-energy electrons can be prodtuced; electrons with Lorentz factors 7 >100 have beeua observedin the sitmulations. They are reflected and then trapped by the xvave. Tl'xis phenotnenon occurs ina large-arnplitude oblique shock in a strong naagnetic field strcla that w.. '; cu,.. The accelerationtnechanisun is given, arrd tlae dependence of' 7 on plasma pararaaeters, such 2lS the propagationangle, is disctrssed.
